Qviding FIF is a Swedish football club located in Gothenburg. The club was created in October 1987. It was formed when two other clubs, BK Qviding and Fräntorps IF, joined together. Qviding FIF currently plays in Division 1 Södra.
This club has spent four seasons playing in the Superettan, which is a higher league. Qviding FIF is also connected to the Göteborgs Fotbollförbund, which is the football association for Gothenburg.
Since 2008, their home stadium has been Valhalla IP. Before that, they played their games at a place called Torpavallen.
Club Journey Through the Years
Qviding FIF has been through many different football leagues over the years. They started in lower divisions and worked their way up.
- In 1994, they were promoted from Division 3 to Division 2.
- In 2005, they won their Division 2 league and moved up to the Superettan. This is a very exciting league to play in!
- After one season, they were relegated back down. But they didn't give up!
- In 2007, they won Division 1 and were promoted to the Superettan again.
- They played in the Superettan for a couple more seasons.
- In 2017, the club faced some challenges and moved down two levels.
- However, they quickly bounced back! In 2018, they won Division 3 and were promoted.
- Then, in 2019, they won Division 2 and were promoted again. This shows how determined they are!
