Ramon Harewood's Football Journey
Ramon Harewood was a talented athlete. Before joining the NFL, he showed his skills at a special event called a "Pro Day." Here, players do different tests like running and lifting weights. This helps NFL teams see how strong and fast they are.
Playing for the Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens picked Ramon Harewood in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL draft. He signed a three-year contract with the team.
Unfortunately, Ramon faced some injuries early in his career. His 2010 and 2011 seasons ended before they even began. He had knee surgery and later an ankle injury. Because of these injuries, the Ravens placed him on "injured reserve." This is a list for players who are too hurt to play.
After two seasons on injured reserve, Ramon was ready for the 2012 season. He worked hard and earned a starting spot as a left guard. He played in the first five games of the season. He also helped out on special teams.
Later in the season, he lost his starting spot to another player. However, Ramon was still part of the team. He was on the roster when the Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII. They defeated the San Francisco 49ers 34–31. This means Ramon earned a Super Bowl ring, which is a special award for winning the championship!
On August 25, 2013, the Ravens released Ramon from their team.
Time with the Denver Broncos
On January 22, 2014, Ramon Harewood signed a "future contract" with the Denver Broncos. This type of contract means a player will join the team officially later. However, he was released by the Broncos on June 3, 2014.
