Rand is a small town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. It is located in the Federation Council local government area. This means it's part of a group of towns managed by a local council.

Rand's History and Transport
Rand has an interesting history, especially when it comes to how people and goods moved around.
The Rand Railway Line
For many years, Rand was the end point, or "terminus," of a railway line. This line connected Rand to a town called Henty. The railway line opened in 1920. It helped people travel and transport things like farm products. However, the railway line eventually closed in 1975.
The Rand Post Office
The Rand Post Office has been an important part of the town for a long time. It first opened its doors on 1 January 1926. Post offices are vital for sending and receiving mail and often act as a community hub.
