Randy White's College Basketball Career
Randy White was a standout player at Louisiana Tech University. During his senior year, he scored an average of 21.2 points per game. He also grabbed 10.5 rebounds per game. People often compared him to NBA legend Karl Malone. Karl Malone was also a famous player from Louisiana Tech. Because of this, Randy was nicknamed "Mailman II" or "Mailkid."
Randy White's Professional Basketball Journey
After college, Randy White was chosen by the Dallas Mavericks. He was the eighth player picked in the 1989 NBA draft. He played for the Mavericks for five seasons. In the 1992–93 season, he had his best year with the team. He averaged 9.7 points per game that season.
After his time in the NBA, Randy played in other leagues. He played in the CBA. He also played for international teams. One of these teams was Maccabi Tel Aviv, a very strong team in Europe. He also played in Italy for Pfizer Reggio Calabria during the 1994–1995 season. Randy's career lasted until 1999.
