Raquel Castro (born November 17, 1994) is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her role in the 2004 movie Jersey Girl. In the film, she played Gertie Trinké, the daughter of characters played by Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. For this role, Raquel won a special award called the Young Artist Award. She also appeared as a contestant on the TV singing show The Voice.

Acting Roles
Raquel started acting when she was young. Her first TV appearance was in an episode of the show Third Watch. A big part for her was playing Gertie in the 2004 movie Jersey Girl. She worked with famous actors like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in this film.
Later, she appeared in a 2005 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She also acted in the movie Little Fugitive. You might have seen her in two episodes of the Disney Channel show Liv & Maddie. In these episodes, she played Liv's friend, South Salamanca.
In 2006, Raquel was in the music video for the song "Runaway Love" by Ludacris and Mary J. Blige. She played a girl who runs away from home. She also had roles in movies like Tracks of Color (2007) and The Ministers (2009).
Singing Journey
Raquel Castro is also a talented singer. She was a contestant on the first season of the TV singing competition The Voice. During the show, she was part of Christina Aguilera's team. Raquel made it through the Blind Auditions and some other rounds before leaving the show.
After The Voice, Raquel posted a cover song of Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man" on YouTube. She has said that Christina Aguilera and Selena are her biggest musical inspirations.
