Liv and Maddie, sometimes called Liv and Maddie: Cali Style in its last season, was a fun American comedy TV show. John D. Beck and Ron Hart created it. It was shown on Disney Channel from July 19, 2013, to March 24, 2017.
The show stars Dove Cameron, Joey Bragg, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Kali Rocha, Benjamin King, and Lauren Lindsey Donzis. A cool part of the show is that Dove Cameron plays two roles. She plays Liv, a famous actress, and Maddie, Liv's identical twin sister. The show also has special moments where characters talk directly to the audience. They share their thoughts and feelings about what's happening.

What the Show is About
The story follows Liv Rooney, a girly girl who loves acting. She comes back home to Stevens Point, Wisconsin, after being in Hollywood for four years. She starred in a popular TV show called Sing It Loud!
Her identical twin sister, Maddie, is very different. Maddie is a tomboy who loves sports, especially basketball. She is happy to have Liv back home.
The twins have two younger brothers. Joey is a bit awkward and one year younger than the twins. Parker is smart and mischievous, and he is the youngest.
Their parents are Karen and Pete. Karen is the high school psychologist. Later, she becomes the school's vice principal. Pete coaches Maddie's high school basketball team. He later coaches a college team in Beloit, Wisconsin.
The show is about Liv getting used to normal family life again. Most of the action happens at the Rooney family's house or at Ridgewood High School.
At the end of the third season, the Rooney house falls down. Maddie decides to go to college in Los Angeles, California. Because of this, the rest of the Rooney family moves to Malibu, California. Pete stays in Wisconsin for his coaching job. The family lives with Karen's younger sister, Dena, and her daughter, Ruby. The fourth season takes place in California.
