Raquel Atawo (born December 8, 1982) is an American tennis player. She used to play tennis professionally. Now, she is the head coach for the women's tennis team at Washington State University.
Raquel was especially good at playing doubles tennis. She won 18 major doubles titles from the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). These wins include big tournaments like the 2012 Tokyo Open and the 2014 Cincinnati Open. She also reached the semifinals of the Australian Open in 2014 and Wimbledon in both 2015 and 2016. She achieved these great results with her tennis partner, Abigail Spears.
Before becoming the head coach at Washington State, Atawo worked as an assistant coach. She helped the women's tennis teams at Auburn University and the University of California.
