Rasha Rizk (Arabic: رشا رزق; born 5 March 1976) is a talented Syrian singer and songwriter. She is super well-known for her amazing work with the Syrian cartoon dubbing company, Venus Centre. You might recognize her voice from the Arabic theme songs of popular cartoons and anime like Remi, Nobody's Girl, Detective Conan, Gundam Wing, and the Digimon Series.
In October 2017, Rasha Rizk shared exciting news on Instagram and Facebook. She announced that she had received a primary Grammy nomination! This was for two different categories: Best New Artist and Best World Music Album, all for her album called Malak.

Early Life and Training
Rasha Rizk started her singing journey very early. She began formal vocal training when she was just 9 years old. By the time she was 12, she had already won a children's talent competition!
She studied French literature at Sorbonne University in Paris. Later, she graduated from the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus. She even taught opera singing there, sharing her knowledge with new students.
Music Career Highlights
On October 12, 2003, Rasha Rizk made history. She participated in the very first opera in Arabic, called Ibn Sina. This opera was created by the Dutch composer Michiel Borstlap and performed in Doha, Qatar.
In 2000, Rasha teamed up with composer Ibrahim Sulaimani. Together, they started a Syrian Jazz Band named Itar Shame3 (Arabic: إطار شمع).
Later, in 2008, she worked with the famous French new-age band Era. She lent her voice to their songs Prayers and Reborn.
Personal Life
In 2003, Rasha Rizk married composer Ibrahim Sulaimani. They have a daughter together named Sarah. The family now lives in France.
Many people who grew up watching the Spacetoon TV channel remember Rasha Rizk's voice fondly. Her songs are a big part of their childhood memories!
