This community is mostly found in Crawford Township, within Clinton County. A smaller part of Rauchtown also extends into Limestone Township, in Lycoming County. In 2010, about 726 people lived here.

Rauchtown is situated along Pennsylvania Route 880. This road runs right along the border between southeastern Clinton County and southwestern Lycoming County.
The area is nestled in a special spot called the Nippenose Valley. To the north, you'll find Bald Eagle Mountain, and to the south, there's Nippenose Mountain. It's a beautiful location surrounded by nature.
Nearby Attractions
Right on the southern edge of Rauchtown is Ravensburg State Park. This park is located in a narrow valley where Rauchtown Creek flows out of Nippenose Mountain. It's a great place for outdoor activities.
Pennsylvania Route 880 connects Rauchtown to other towns. If you head north, you'll reach the borough of Jersey Shore about 7 miles away. If you go south, you'll find the community of Carroll, which is about 6 miles from Rauchtown. Carroll is also close to Interstate 80, a major highway.
