Raul Augusto de Almeida Solnado (born October 19, 1929, in Lisbon, Portugal – died August 8, 2009, in Lisbon) was a very famous Portuguese actor and comedian. Television Pioneer
In 1969, Raul Solnado hosted Portugal's very first talk show. He hosted it with Carlos Cruz and Fialho Gouveia. The show was called Zip Zip. It is still seen as a very important moment in the history of Portuguese television. It changed how TV shows were made in the country.

Raul Solnado passed away on August 8, 2009. He died from heart disease. He left behind a legacy of laughter and groundbreaking entertainment. He is remembered as one of Portugal's greatest comedians.
