Rayhon Gʻaniyeva (born September 16, 1978, in Tashkent), known simply as Rayhon, is a famous Uzbek singer, songwriter, and film actress. She is recognized as an honored artist of Uzbekistan. Rayhon became very popular in Uzbekistan with her song "Baxtli boʻlaman" ("I'll Be Happy") in 2002. She sings songs in both Uzbek and Russian.

Rayhon also became well-known in the Uzbek film world. She played the main role in the 2007 Uzbek drama film Kechir (Forgive Me). She also helped write and direct this movie. Critics and fans praised her acting in the film. However, she has not appeared in any major films since then.

About Rayhon's Life

Rayhon Gʻaniyeva was born into a family of artists. Her mother, Tamara Shokirova, was a highly respected Uzbek actress. She even received the title of Meritorious Artist of the Uzbek SSR. Rayhon's father, Otabek Gʻaniyev, was also a famous actor in Uzbekistan and other former Soviet countries. Her great-grandfather, Nabi Gʻaniyev, was a very important film director. His films helped shape the Cinema of Uzbekistan.

On November 16, 2012, Rayhon married Yigitali Mamajonov. He was a 22-year-old student at the Tashkent Theatrical Institute. Yigitali later appeared in some of Rayhon's music videos. On May 5, 2014, Rayhon gave birth to twin boys. In January 2015, news reported that Rayhon and Mamajonov had ended their relationship. Rayhon then married Farhod Alimov, a television presenter, on October 26, 2016.

Rayhon's Music Career

Rayhon started learning to play the piano at a children's music school in Tashkent. She later studied English philology at the Uzbek State Institute of World Languages in Tashkent.

When Rayhon was in her third year of college, she formed a music group called Xayol (Thought). In 2000, she began her career as a solo singer. Rayhon became widely recognized in Uzbekistan with her song "Baxtli boʻlaman." This song was part of her album with the same name, released in 2002. Later that year, she performed her first big concert at the Alisher Navoiy Opera and Ballet Theater in Tashkent.

Rayhon also made a name for herself in the Uzbek film industry. She starred in the 2007 Uzbek drama film Kechir (Forgive Me). She also helped write and direct this movie. In the film, she played a successful singer facing challenges in her life. Rayhon also wrote and sang the title song for the film's soundtrack. Her performance in the movie received good reviews from both critics and fans.

Awards and Recognition

Rayhon has won several awards during her career. She received her first Nihol award in 2002. This is an annual award given to successful artists in Uzbekistan. In the same year, Rayhon also won a Tarona Award for Best Female Singer. The Tarona Award celebrates great achievements in Uzbekistan's music industry. She won this same award again in 2004.

Rayhon's album Baxtli boʻlaman was very popular and won her a Tarona award for Best Album of the Year in 2003. In 2005, Rayhon received another Tarona award for Best Album for her album Faqat muhabbat.
