Razane Jammal (born August 7, 1987) is a talented actress and author from both Britain and Lebanon. She is famous for her roles in popular shows like the Arabic series Al Thaman and the Netflix Original series Paranormal. She also appeared in the historical film Kira & El Gin.
Razane has worked with well-known directors such as Kanye West, Robert Guédiguian, Marwan Hamed, and Olivier Assayas. In 2022, she played the character Lyta Hall in the Netflix show The Sandman, which is based on Neil Gaiman's graphic novels. In 2025, she also became a children's book author with her first book, Lulu and Blu.

Her Early Life and Studies
Razane Jammal grew up in Beirut, Lebanon. When she was 15, she started acting in TV commercials. These commercials were for different campaigns across the Middle East.
At 18, she moved to London to study business at King's College. While she was there, she got her first movie role in 2009. This was in the film Carlos, directed by Olivier Assayas.
Her Acting Career
Razane's big break in acting came with the film Carlos in 2010. In 2012, she was part of a short film called Cruel Summer. This film was directed by Kanye West and shown at the Cannes Film Festival.
In 2014, she acted alongside Liam Neeson in the movie A Walk Among the Tombstones. The next year, in 2015, she starred in Robert Guédiguian's film Don't Tell Me The Boy Was Mad. This movie was shown for the first time at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
Razane played the character Maggie in the Netflix Original series Paranormal. This show is based on books by Ahmed Khaled Tawfik. It was directed by Amr Salama and Majid Al Ansari.
In May 2021, it was announced that Razane Jammal joined the cast of The Sandman for Netflix. This series is based on Neil Gaiman's DC Comics graphic novel.
In 2022, Razane appeared in the Egyptian historical film Kira & El Gin. Marwan Hamed directed this movie.
In 2023, she starred in the Arabic drama series Al Thaman (The Price). This role made her very popular across the Middle East. In 2024, she appeared in the MBC drama series Al Qadar.
Razane as an Author
In 2025, Razane Jammal became a children's book author. Her first book is called Lulu and Blu: The Tale of a Vegetarian Lioness, a Friendly Fish and Their Most Unusual Friendship. Sasha Haddad created the illustrations for the book, which was published by Turning Point. The story is about a lioness who only eats vegetables and a friendly fish. They become very good friends, even though they are very different.
