Raúl Alfonso Allain Vega (born on November 11, 1989, in Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian writer, poet, editor, and sociologist. He is known for his many books and articles. He also writes columns for different newspapers and magazines.

About Raúl Allain
Early Life and Education
Raúl Allain was born in Lima, Peru. His parents are Manuel Alfonso Allain Santisteban and Patricia María del Pilar Vega González. His grandfather, Óscar Allain Cottera, was an artist.
In 2007, Raúl Allain started studying sociology at the National University of San Marcos. Sociology is the study of how people live together in groups and societies.
His Work as a Writer
Raúl Allain has written many books and articles. One of his first books was La cientificidad del consciente: Conjeturas (2011). He has also had his writings included in collections of works by different authors. These collections are called anthologies. Some of these include Abofeteando a un cadáver (2007) and Poesía y narrativa hispanoamericana actual (2010).
He has also edited many anthologies himself. These collections feature poetry, art, and journalism from other writers. Some of his edited works are Poéticas: selección de artes poéticas por poetas peruanos contemporáneos (2010) and Convergencias: muestra de poesía contemporánea (2011).
Several of the anthologies he edited are kept in the Mario Vargas Llosa Library in Lima. This library is part of the House of Peruvian Literature.
Student Literary Group
While at university, Raúl Allain started a literary group called "Suicidas Sub 21". This group brought together young writers and poets from different universities. They shared their creative work and ideas. Some of the authors who wrote for this group were Laura Rosales and Esteban Poole.

Raúl Allain writes articles for various magazines and newspapers. In 2011, his article "Why not vote for public health?" was published. In 2012, he was recognized as a young author by Monolito magazine.
