Rector Reservoir is a special kind of lake located in the beautiful Napa Valley in California. It's not a natural lake, but a reservoir, which means it's a large, man-made lake built to store water. This reservoir is found northeast of a town called Yountville. It is also southwest of a much larger lake, Lake Berryessa.

Rector Reservoir is very important because it provides drinking water for the people living in Yountville. The water in the reservoir is held back by a structure called the Rector Creek Dam. This dam was built in 1946 across a stream known as Rector Creek. A road called the Silverado Trail passes by the reservoir, running from north to south on its western side.
