College Basketball Success

After college, many people thought Reggie would be picked in the 1997 NBA draft. This draft is where professional NBA teams choose new players. However, he was not drafted by an NBA team.
Playing Around the World
Even though he didn't play in the NBA, Reggie Freeman had a long and successful professional career. He played basketball in many different countries. He played on teams across three continents!
One team, KK FMP from Serbia, even retired his jersey number 5. This is a huge honor in sports. It means no other player on that team will ever wear that number again. They did this because of how much he helped the team. Many people think he was one of the best international players to ever play for a Serbian basketball team.
