From 2009 to 2010, Tanaka also voiced the main character in the anime series Kaitō Reinya. This character was designed to look like her. The show started airing in January 2010.
Reina Tanaka left Morning Musume on May 21, 2013. After that, she focused on her rock band, Lovendor.
