Remsen is a small village located in Oneida County, New York, United States. In 2020, about 431 people lived there. The village is in the southwestern part of the larger town of Remsen.

Fun Things to Do
Remsen is known for its annual Remsen Barn Festival of the Arts, often called FOTA. This festival happens every year in late September. It started in 1980 and brings thousands of visitors to Main Street.
Railroads in Remsen
The Mohawk, Adirondack and Northern Railroad (MHWA) tracks go through the town. The Adirondack Scenic Railroad also uses these tracks. It travels from Utica to just north of the village.
History of Remsen
Oneida County was formed on March 15, 1798. The town of Remsen was also created on that date. The village of Remsen officially became a village in 1845. Later, in 1869, part of the town was separated to create the town of Forestport.

Remsen is located at 43°19′39″N 75°11′12″W / 43.32750°N 75.18667°W.
The village covers about 0.4 square miles (1.0 square kilometer) of land. There is no water area within the village limits. Cincinnati Creek flows through the village from north to south.
