Rena is a small, quiet place located in Clallam County, which is in the state of Washington in the United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes or buildings that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town would. Instead, it's managed by the larger county government.

A Look Back: Rena's History

Rena has a short but interesting history. It officially started to be recognized in 1891. That's when a post office was opened there. A post office was a very important place back then, as it was how people sent and received letters and packages. It also helped connect communities.

The community of Rena was named after a person. It got its name from a woman called Reena Hooker. The post office in Rena stayed open for about 11 years, closing down in 1902. Even though the post office is gone, the name Rena still marks this spot on the map in Clallam County.
