Growing Up in Mexico
Renata grew up in Cuernavaca, Mexico. When she was a child, she loved acting. She took acting classes at CEA Infantil. This is a special drama school for kids, run by Televisa in Mexico City.
Renata's Acting Journey
Starting Her Career
Renata began her acting career in 2006. She was just 10 years old when she appeared in the TV show Código Postal. Since then, she has acted in many TV shows called telenovelas. Some of these include Mar de amor and Amorcito Corazón. She also appeared in popular Mexican TV series like La rosa de Guadalupe and Como dice el dicho.
New Experiences and Main Roles
In 2014, Renata moved to New York City for a short time. There, she took more acting classes at the Stella Adler Acting Studio. Later that year, she traveled to Madrid, Spain. She filmed Yo quisiera, a TV series for young people. This was her first acting job outside of Mexico.
Soon after, Renata got exciting news. She was chosen for the main role in Televisa's new telenovela, Amor de barrio. This was her very first starring role! Amor de barrio started airing on June 4, 2015, and finished on November 8, 2015.
After Amor de barrio ended, Renata acted in a play called Las que no sienten. It was a psychological thriller. The play opened in Mexico City on November 5, 2015. It ran until December 15, 2015.
In November 2015, Renata tried out for another big role. She was cast in the telenovela Sueño de amor. Filming began in late 2015. The show premiered in Mexico on February 22, 2016, and in the U.S. on March 8, 2016.
In 2017, Renata played the main character, Aurora, in the series Mi adorable maldición. Aurora was a girl who faced many challenges. People in the story believed she was cursed.
