Rene Simpson Collins (born January 14, 1966 – died October 17, 2013) was a professional tennis player from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. She was known for her strong tennis skills.

Rene reached a high ranking of 70 in the world for singles players in 1989. She also had a very successful college tennis career playing for Texas Christian University (TCU).

After her playing career, Rene became a coach and captain for the Canada Fed Cup team. She was part of the team from 1988 to 1998 as a player. Then, she coached from 1998 to 2000. From 2001 to 2010, she was the team's captain.

In 2011, Rene Simpson Collins was honored by being added to the Canadian Tennis Hall of Fame. She passed away on October 17, 2013, at the age of 47, after an illness.
