Renee Chenault-Fattah (born October 12, 1957) is an American journalist. She was a well-known news anchor for NBC 10 News in Philadelphia. Before becoming a journalist, she worked as a lawyer in New York City. She is married to Chaka Fattah, who used to be a U.S. Representative.

Renee Chenault-Fattah: Her Life and Career
Early Life and Education
Renee Chenault-Fattah studied political science at Johns Hopkins University. After that, she earned her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She worked at a law firm in New York and then for a judge. Later, she decided to pursue a career in media. She earned a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
A Career in Television News
Chenault-Fattah joined WCAU in Philadelphia in September 1991. At that time, WCAU was a CBS TV station. She worked as both a news anchor and a reporter. After a few years, she became a co-anchor for the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. news in March 1995. By then, WCAU had become the NBC station in Philadelphia.
She continued to be a main anchor for many years. In 2003, Tim Lake joined her as a co-anchor for the 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. newscasts. She had previously co-anchored with other journalists for eight years.
Renee Chenault-Fattah left NBC 10 on February 24, 2016. This happened after her husband, Chaka Fattah, faced some legal challenges. Even though she was mentioned in a business matter related to her husband, Renee Chenault-Fattah was never accused of any wrongdoing herself.
Community Involvement
Renee Chenault-Fattah is very involved in her community. She is a member of the board of trustees for Johns Hopkins University. She also serves as the Executive Director of Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity. This is a non-profit group that helps people in Philadelphia. They work to help low-income individuals overcome problems caused by past criminal records.
Awards and Recognition
Renee Chenault-Fattah has received several honors for her work. In 2002, she was named to the "Sy Snyder's Power 50" list by PoliticsPA. This list recognized influential people in Pennsylvania politics. She was also included in PoliticsPA's list of "Pennsylvania's Most Politically Powerful Women."
In 2009, the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia honored her. They inducted Renee Chenault-Fattah into their Hall of Fame.
