Reuben Theodore Meade, born on March 7, 1954, is an important political leader from Montserrat. He currently serves as the Premier of Montserrat, which is the top leadership role on the island. He has held this position since 2024.
Before his current role, Mr. Meade was Montserrat's first Premier from 2011 to 2014. He also served as the Chief Minister of Montserrat two times. His first term as Chief Minister was from 1991 to 1996, and his second was from 2009 to 2011. He is a member of the United Alliance political party. He was previously part of another party called the Movement for Change and Prosperity (MCAP) and also led the now-defunct National Progressive Party.
