Rhyme Skool is a special music album made for children. It has two parts, and it's full of common nursery rhymes that are narrated by the famous Bollywood actor, Katrina Kaif. The music for this album was created and overseen by the legendary musician A. R. Rahman and his talented students from the KM Music Conservatory. The album was produced by the Saregama Production Company.
About the Album
Rhyme Skool was the very first audio CD released by the KM Music Conservatory. This music school was started in 2008 by A. R. Rahman. The album was based on many well-known nursery rhymes that kids love to sing.
All the music for the album was recorded, mixed, and perfected at the Audio Media studio in Chennai, India. This is the same studio where A. R. Rahman often works on his big music projects.
Album Release
The first Rhyme Skool album was officially released in 2010. A special event was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Mumbai to celebrate its launch. Because the first album was so popular, the production company released a second album in the series in 2011. This one was called Rhyme Skool Vol 2.
Who Made the Music?
Students from the KM Music Conservatory worked hard to record this album. They were guided by experienced musicians like guitarist John Anthony and percussionist Sivamani. Of course, A. R. Rahman also provided his expert guidance to the students. Many talented musicians played different instruments, and several music arrangers helped put all the sounds together.
Songs on the Album
The first volume of Rhyme Skool has a total playing time of 59 minutes. It features many classic nursery rhymes that children enjoy.
