Ricardo López-Nuño Díez (born March 2, 1940 – died February 11, 2015) was a Spanish actor, film director, and writer. He was better known as Ricardo Palacios.
Ricardo was born in Reinosa, a town in Cantabria, Spain. He studied acting and directing at the Official Film School in Madrid. His first acting role was in the TV series Poly in 1961.

His Acting Career
Ricardo Palacios acted in about 150 films and TV shows. He was very active in a type of movie called Spaghetti Western. These were Western films made by European studios, often in Italy or Spain.
He appeared in several famous films. These include For a Few Dollars More (1965), Doctor Zhivago (1965), The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), and Once Upon a Time in the West (1968). He often played smaller but memorable roles in these movies.
Directing Films
In 1987, Ricardo Palacios started directing movies. His first film as a director was a comedy called ¡Biba la banda!. Later, in 1997, he directed a TV series named La banda de Pérez.
Later Life and Passing
Ricardo Palacios spent over a month in the hospital because of heart problems. He passed away on February 11, 2015, due to heart failure.
