Richard Nelson Perham (born April 27, 1937 – died February 14, 2015) was a very important scientist. He was a Professor of biochemistry at the University of Cambridge in England. Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes that happen inside living things. He also served as the leader, or Master, of St John's College, Cambridge from 2004 to 2007. For many years, from 1998 to 2013, he was the main editor of a science magazine called FEBS Journal.

Richard Perham's Education
Richard Perham went to Latymer Upper School when he was younger. After that, he studied at St John's College, Cambridge, which is part of Cambridge University. There, he earned several important degrees. These included his MA, PhD, and ScD, which show he became a highly skilled expert in his field. He also worked as a researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge. This lab is famous for discovering how DNA works.
