About Richelle Bear Hat
Richelle Bear Hat grew up in Calgary, Alberta. Her family comes from different Indigenous communities. Her mother is from the Siksika First Nation. Her father is from the Blueberry First Nation in northern British Columbia. Richelle often works on art projects with her sister, Brittney Bear Hat.
Her Journey in Art
Richelle Bear Hat studied art at the Alberta College of Art and Design. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in 2011. She focused on painting during her studies.
