About Brittney Bear Hat
Brittney Bear Hat grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This area is known as the Treaty 7 territory. She is an artist who is half Blackfoot and half Cree. Her mother is from the Siksika First Nation. Her father is from the Blueberry First Nation. This community is in Northern British Columbia.
Brittney often works with her sister, Richelle Bear Hat. They create art together. Brittney's art explores what it means to be herself and where she belongs. She often uses her own family photos and personal items. She combines these with text to share stories and memories about her Indigenous background.

Education
