River Hebert is a small village located in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada. It sits right on the River Hebert, which shares its name. The village is about 25 kilometres southwest of Amherst. In 2021, about 468 people lived there.

Both the village and the river are named after Louis Hébert. He was an early French settler from a place called Port Royal. Louis Hébert was known for exploring and traveling along the river.

For many years, coal mining was the main job in the River Hebert area. However, the last coal mine closed down in 1981.

River Hebert is a friendly community with several important places. It has one school that teaches students from pre-primary all the way to grade 12. There is also a public library where you can borrow books and a medical centre for health care.
