His Time as a Player
Robert Sasser was chosen by the Atlanta Braves in the 1993 MLB draft. This means a professional team picked him to join their organization. He worked his way through the minor leagues. These are smaller teams where players develop their skills. Sasser finally reached the big leagues in 1998. He played one game for the Texas Rangers.
Coaching Young Talent
After his playing career, Sasser became a baseball coach. He helps young players learn and improve their hitting skills. In 2012, Sasser joined the Kannapolis Intimidators as their batting coach. They won 76 games and lost 62 games. Sasser currently works as a hitting coach for the Kannapolis Intimidators. He helps players get ready for the major leagues.
