Robby Robinson (born May 24, 1946) is a famous American professional bodybuilder who is now retired. People also know him as The Black Prince and Mr Lifestyle. He won many big competitions like Mr America, Mr World, and Mr Universe. He also won the Masters Olympia. Robby appeared in several movies, including Pumping Iron. He had a long career in bodybuilding, lasting 27 years, and he stopped competing in 2001 when he was 55 years old.

About Robby Robinson
His Early Life
Robby Robinson was born in Damascus, Georgia. He grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. His mother raised him and his 13 siblings.
Robby went to Florida A&M University. There, he played American football and ran track. While training for these sports, he noticed how well his body responded to weight training. This made him want to try bodybuilding. After competing in over 300 amateur shows, Robby became a professional bodybuilder in 1975. By then, he was married and had three children.
His Professional Career
In 1975, his first year as a professional, Robby won three big titles. He won the IFBB Mr America, Mr World, and Mr Universe. He continued to win many other IFBB contests. This included the first Night of the Champions in 1979. He also won the first Masters Olympia in 1994. He was the overall champion at the Masters Olympia in 1994. He then won the over 50 division at the same contest in 1997 and 2000.
Robby appeared as himself in the 1977 movie Pumping Iron. This film was about bodybuilding. He also appeared in a TV documentary in 1989. Later, he was in the 1997 documentary Stand Tall. He also had a small, uncredited part in the 1976 movie Stay Hungry.
After Retirement
Robby sometimes experienced a health condition that made him feel unwell. These times often happened when he was getting ready for a competition. This was one reason he decided to stop competing.
After a 26-year career, Robby retired from professional bodybuilding. He was 55 years old. Since then, he has stayed busy in many ways. He works as a personal trainer and a coach for lifestyle and bodybuilding. He is also an artist and an actor. In 2013, Robby wrote his autobiography, The Black Prince.
Since he retired in 2001, Robby has spoken out against using steroids in bodybuilding. He believes that steroids "take away from the beauty of bodybuilding, the artistry of it." In 2016, when he was 70, Robby still made guest appearances. He also kept his amazing physique.
