Robert Douglas Fyfe (born September 25, 1930 – died September 15, 2021) was a Scottish actor. He was best known for his role as Howard in the popular British TV show Last of the Summer Wine. He played this character for many years, from 1985 to 2010.

Robert Fyfe was born in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, on September 25, 1930. His father, Douglas Fyfe, was a watchmaker. Robert went to Kirkcaldy High School.
After high school, he studied English literature at Edinburgh University. However, he decided to become an actor instead. He trained at the Northern Theatre School in Bradford, finishing his studies in 1954. During his training, he acted in plays in cities like Halifax and York.

Robert Fyfe married stage director Diana Rush in 1957. They were married for many years. Diana passed away in August 2021. Robert Fyfe died shortly after, on September 15, 2021, at the age of 90. He passed away due to kidney disease. He was survived by his three sons: Timothy, Nicholas, and Dominic.
