History of Roberts
Roberts started as a stop along the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1893. It was first called Merritt. The town's layout was officially planned out in 1902. There was also an older settlement named Roberts located nearby.
Where is Roberts Located?
Roberts is found in the state of Montana. It is about 12 miles away from the town of Red Lodge. The community is located right on U.S. Route 212, which is a main highway. A stream called Rock Creek flows just south of the town.

Roberts has a climate known as a "Warm Summer Continental Climate." This means the area experiences warm summers and cold winters. This type of climate is common in places that are far from large bodies of water.
