Rochelle Adonis is a talented Canadian Australian chef. She is known for making delicious pastries and owning restaurants. You might also know her from TV! She was a judge on the first two seasons of The Great Canadian Baking Show. She judged alongside another chef named Bruno Feldeisen.
Early Life and Culinary Journey
Rochelle Adonis was born and grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. When she was ten years old, her family moved to Sydney, Australia. This is where she later decided to study and become a chef.
After her studies, Rochelle traveled around Europe. She worked in many pastry kitchens, learning new skills. One famous place she worked was the Hotel Sacher in Vienna, Austria.
In 1998, Rochelle came back to Australia. She took on important pastry chef roles in some of Sydney's best restaurants. In 2001, she moved to Perth, Australia. There, she started making beautiful wedding cakes and teaching cooking classes.
Building a Sweet Business
In 2007, Rochelle Adonis started her own brand. She created special cakes and handmade sweets. She also offered her own unique version of the traditional high tea experience in Perth, Western Australia.
Her business grew quickly! In 2008, Rochelle opened her first special studio. By 2013, her business needed more space. So, she moved her main shop to Highgate, a suburb of Perth.
Becoming a TV Chef
Rochelle Adonis became a well-known face on television. She was a judge on The Great Canadian Baking Show. This show is a Canadian version of the very popular The Great British Bake Off.
The show was made for the CBC Television network. Rochelle was a judge for the first two seasons, from 2017 to 2018. She helped decide which bakers had the best creations!
