Two Villages in One Place
Rodén is special because it has two parts: an old village and a new village.
The Old Village of Rodén
The original village of Rodén was built on top of a hill. This old village was left empty a long time ago. This happened because of a big conflict called the Spanish Civil War.
People had to leave their homes during this time. Even though it was abandoned, the old village's ruins have been kept safe. They stand as a reminder of the past.
The New Village of Rodén
The new part of Rodén was built at the bottom of the hill. This is where people live today. It is a peaceful place, close to the historic ruins.
