Before playing professionally, he played college football at Tulsa. He also played for a few teams in the National Football League (NFL). Romby graduated from Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City in 1999.

Romby Bryant's Football Journey

Romby Bryant had an exciting career playing football. He played for teams in both the NFL and the CFL. He started his professional journey in 2004.

Playing in the NFL

Starting with the Arizona Cardinals

After college, Romby Bryant was not chosen in the 2004 NFL draft. This meant he became a free agent, able to sign with any team. He joined the Arizona Cardinals in 2004.

Time with the Atlanta Falcons

In 2005, Romby made it onto the main roster for the Atlanta Falcons. He played in three games that season. However, he did not catch any passes during those games.

Joining the Baltimore Ravens

Romby then spent the 2006 and 2007 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. Even though he was part of the team, he did not play in any regular season games during those two years.

Playing in the CFL

First Time with Winnipeg Blue Bombers

After three seasons in the NFL, Romby moved to Canada to play in the Canadian Football League. He signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. His first year in the CFL was a big success. He caught 65 passes for 1,206 yards, which was his best season for yards. He also scored 9 touchdowns.

In the 2009 CFL season, Romby had 20 catches for 232 yards in the first 11 games. On September 20, 2009, he was traded to the Calgary Stampeders. He moved with another player, Arjei Franklin. In return, the Blue Bombers received two other players.

First Time with Calgary Stampeders

Romby Bryant played in the last seven games of the 2009 season with the Stampeders. He caught 27 passes for 548 yards. His first full season with Calgary was amazing. He set new personal bests with 78 catches and 15 touchdowns. He also gained 1,170 receiving yards.

His next two seasons with the Stampeders were still good, but not as record-breaking. He averaged about 53 catches and 655 yards in each of those seasons.

Time with Toronto Argonauts

Romby Bryant then spent one season with the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL. During this time, he caught 8 passes for 91 yards.

Second Time with Winnipeg Blue Bombers

In 2014, Romby returned to play for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He finished the season with 317 receiving yards. This placed him sixth on the team for receiving yards.

Retiring as a Calgary Stampeder

On April 13, 2015, Romby Bryant signed a special one-day contract. This allowed him to officially retire as a member of the Calgary Stampeders. It was a nice way for him to end his career with a team where he had great success.
