Romero Osby's Basketball Journey

Romero Osby started his professional basketball career in 2013. He was chosen by the Orlando Magic in the 2013 NBA draft. The draft is where NBA teams pick new players. Romero was the 51st player picked overall that year.

Playing for the Orlando Magic

In July 2013, Romero joined the Orlando Magic for the 2013 NBA Summer League. This is a special time when new players can show their skills. He signed a contract with the Magic in September 2013. However, he was later released from the team in October 2013.

Time with the Maine Red Claws

After leaving the Magic, Romero's rights were traded to the Maine Red Claws. This team is part of the D-League, which is now called the G-League. It's like a development league for the NBA. In January 2014, he had to leave the Red Claws. This was because of a shoulder injury that ended his season.

Back to the Summer League and Overseas

In July 2014, Romero played for the Orlando Magic again in the 2014 NBA Summer League. After that, he decided to play basketball overseas. He signed with Le Mans in France for the 2014–15 season. Unfortunately, he got another shoulder injury in November. This injury kept him from playing for several months. Because of this, he left the Le Mans team in January 2015.

More Teams and International Play

Romero returned to the Maine Red Claws in February 2015. Later that year, in April, he signed with Indios de Mayagüez in Puerto Rico. He played there for a short time before leaving in May 2015.

In July 2015, he signed with another French team, JSF Nanterre. He played a few games there. Then, in October 2015, he moved to Israel. He signed with Maccabi Rishon LeZion. In December 2015, he moved to his final team, Maccabi Kiryat Gat, also in Israel. He played for them until his career ended in 2016.
