Romero Osby's Basketball Journey

Starting His Pro Career

Romero Osby was chosen by the Orlando Magic in the 2013 NBA draft. He was the 51st player picked overall. In July 2013, he played for the Magic in the 2013 NBA Summer League. He signed with them in September 2013 but was later released in October 2013.

Playing in the D-League

On November 4, 2013, Osby's rights were traded to the Maine Red Claws. This team was part of the D-League, which is now called the NBA G League. Sadly, on January 22, 2014, the Red Claws released him because of a shoulder injury that ended his season.

Return to the Summer League and Overseas Play

In July 2014, Osby joined the Orlando Magic again for the 2014 NBA Summer League. After that, he signed with Le Mans, a team in France's top basketball league, for the 2014–15 season. In November, he got another shoulder injury and was out for four months. Because of this, Le Mans and Osby went their separate ways in January 2015.

More Teams and International Play

On February 5, 2015, the Maine Red Claws brought him back to their team. Later, on April 20, 2015, he signed with Indios de Mayagüez in Puerto Rico for the rest of their 2015 season. He left that team on May 29, 2015.

On July 28, 2015, Osby signed with another French team, JSF Nanterre. After playing in four games, he left Nanterre. On October 21, 2015, he signed with Maccabi Rishon LeZion in Israel. He left Rishon LeZion on December 7, 2015, and then signed with Maccabi Kiryat Gat for the rest of that season.
