Romina Sarina Oprandi (born March 29, 1986) is a retired tennis player. She has citizenship in both Switzerland and Italy. Romina played for Italy from 2005 until 2012. After that, she joined the Swiss Tennis Federation and played for Switzerland.
Romina won 26 singles titles and 11 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. She also won one doubles title on the WTA Tour. Her highest singles ranking was world No. 32, which she reached on June 10, 2013.

About Romina Oprandi
Romina was born in Jegenstorf, Switzerland. Her parents are Roberto and Romy Oprandi. Her brother, Romeo Oprandi, was her coach. Romina's favorite playing surface is clay.
She is known for her strong baseline play. This means she hits the ball from the back of the court. Romina is also very good at hitting "drop shots." These are soft shots that barely clear the net.

Starting Her Career: 2005–2006
Romina first became well-known in tennis in 2006. She reached the quarterfinals of a big tournament in Rome. She had to play through qualifying rounds to get there. Later that year, she won an ITF singles title in Denain.

In 2013, she reached the semifinals of two WTA Tour events. These were in Oeiras and Brussels. However, she then got a shoulder injury. This injury kept her from playing for eight months.
In April 2014, Romina reached her first WTA Tour singles final. This happened at the Marrakech Grand Prix. She beat the top player, Daniela Hantuchová, in the semifinals. Romina lost in the final to María Teresa Torró Flor. On the same day, she won her first WTA Tour doubles title. She teamed up with Garbiñe Muguruza. They won the doubles final at the same tournament.
