Ronald Michael Behagen (born January 14, 1951) is an American former basketball player. He played as a center and power forward in the NBA.

Behagen was 6 feet 9 inches tall. He played college basketball at the University of Minnesota. One of his teammates there was Dave Winfield, who later became a famous baseball player. After college, Ron Behagen was chosen in the 1973 NBA draft by the Kansas City Kings.

He played for seven seasons in the NBA. He was part of teams like the Kansas City Kings, New Orleans Jazz, and Washington Bullets. In 1974, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. This means he was one of the best new players in the league that year. During his NBA career, he scored an average of 10.3 points and grabbed 7.0 rebounds per game. He also played basketball in Italy for Antonini Siena.

Ron Behagen's College Career

Ron Behagen played college basketball in the early 1970s. He first played at the College of Southern Idaho. After that, he moved to the University of Minnesota.

At Minnesota, he was a key player for the Golden Gophers. He earned honors like Third-team All-American in 1973. He was also named First-team All-Big Ten in the same year.
