Ron Curry started his professional basketball career in 2016. He has played for teams in Slovenia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, and France. His journey shows how players can travel the world playing the sport they love.
First Steps in Europe: Slovenia and Germany
In August 2016, Ron Curry signed his first professional contract. He joined a Slovenian club called Krka. This was his first experience playing basketball outside of the United States.
After playing in Slovenia, he moved to Germany. He played for Telekom Baskets Bonn. This helped him gain more experience in European basketball leagues.
Playing in Hungary and Latvia
Ron Curry spent the 2019–20 season with Falco KC Szombathely in Hungary. He was a key player for them. On average, he scored about 10.2 points per game. He also helped his team with 2.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. He was good at stealing the ball too, with 1.3 steals per game.
In August 2020, Curry signed with another Hungarian team, Alba Fehérvár. He continued to show his skills in the Hungarian League.
