Rosamaria Montibeller, born on April 9, 1994, is a famous Brazilian volleyball player. She is known for playing as an "opposite spiker" or sometimes a "wing spiker." These are positions where players hit the ball over the net to score points. Rosamaria has been a key part of the Brazil women's national volleyball team for many years. She has won several important medals, including a silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto. She also won a silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Rosamaria started her club career in 2011. She played for São Caetano in Brazil's top league, the Superliga Série A, until 2013. After that, she played for Campinas Voleibol Clube from 2013 to 2014.

Playing for Minas Tênis Clube

From 2015 to 2018, Rosamaria played for Minas Tênis Clube. During this time, her team won the 2018 Women's South American Volleyball Club Championship. This big win also meant her team got to play in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship.

Time with Praia Clube

After leaving Minas Tênis Clube, she joined Praia Clube at the end of 2018. With Praia Clube, she won the Brazilian Super Cup in 2019. Her team also finished second in the 2018/19 Brazilian Women's Volleyball Superliga. They were also runners-up in the 2019 Women's South American Volleyball Club Championship.

International Career with Brazil

Rosamaria has had a very successful international career playing for Brazil.

Junior and U23 Success

She was part of the Brazilian team that won the 2012 Women's Junior South American Volleyball Championship. They beat Peru in the final match. She also played in the 2013 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship. Later, she was the captain of Brazil's U23 team. This team won the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's U23 World Championship. It was Brazil's first time winning this championship!

Senior Team Highlights

Rosamaria also played in the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix. Brazil won this tournament by defeating Italy in the final. She was also on the Brazilian team for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League, where they finished in fourth place.

She was part of the national team that finished seventh at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship. Rosamaria took a break from international volleyball for two years, from 2019 to 2021. However, she returned to the national team for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. In that tournament, Brazil finished second, losing to the United States in the final.

Olympic Games Medals

Rosamaria was chosen to be on the national team for the women's volleyball tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She helped Brazil win a silver medal there. In the gold medal match, Brazil played against the United States. She also won a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
