Rosario Peñón is a small community, also known as a barrio, located in the town of San Germán, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 805 people lived there. It's a quiet place in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.
A Look at Its History
Puerto Rico has a rich history, and Rosario Peñón is part of it. After the Spanish–American War in 1898, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This was agreed upon in a document called the Treaty of Paris of 1898. From then on, Puerto Rico became a territory of the United States.
In 1899, the United States government counted all the people in Puerto Rico. They found that Rosario Peñón, along with a nearby area called Duey Alto, had a combined population of 1,100 people.
