Fun Things to See and Do
Rosedale used to be a busy place for coal mining. Many coal mines operated here until the 1970s.
One of the most famous attractions is the Star Mine Suspension Bridge. It's 117 meters (384 feet) long and was built in 1931. The bridge crosses the Red Deer River. It used to connect the community to the coal mines on the other side. The bridge was rebuilt in 1958 and is now a popular spot for tourists to visit.
You can also find a special memorial in Rosedale. It honors the miners who worked in the area. It's located near the town hall.
If you enjoy nature, the Rosedale Bridge on Roper Road offers great views of the Red Deer River. There's also a gravel road nearby that goes under the bridge. This spot is perfect for fishing!
