Roselawn is a small community in Indiana, a state in the United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is a place that the government counts for population, but it's not officially a city or town with its own local government.
Roselawn is located across two counties: Newton County and Jasper County. In 2010, about 4,131 people lived there. Roselawn is also known for two resorts that have been part of the community since the 1930s. These are the Ponderosa Sun Club and Sun Aura. Sun Aura used to be called Sunspot resort.

History of Roselawn
Roselawn was first planned out in 1882. The name "Roselawn" comes from combining the names of two early business owners. These were Orlando Rose and Lon Craig.
A sad event happened near Roselawn on October 31, 1994. A plane called American Eagle Flight 4184 crashed there. Sadly, all 64 passengers and four crew members on board lost their lives.
Geography and Location
Roselawn covers an area of about 8.1 square miles (20.88 square kilometers). Almost all of this area is land. Only a very small part is water.
