Roula Koromila, whose full name is Theodora Koromila, was born on February 16, 1957. She is a very famous Greek television presenter. She is known for hosting many popular talk shows and variety shows in Greece. People often call her the national television presenter because she has been on TV for so long and is so well-loved.

Early Life
Growing Up in Greece
Roula Koromila was born in Athens, Greece, on February 16, 1957. Her family came from different parts of Greece. Her father was from Messinia, and her mother was from Rhodes. Since her father was a soldier, Roula moved to many different cities during her childhood. She also studied to become a secretary. Roula has one brother, Thanasis, and one sister, Lena.
Television Career
Starting Out in Television
Roula Koromila began her career in public television in the mid-1980s. From 1989 to 1991, she hosted a show called "Mia Kalimera Einai Auti" on ET1. This was her first big step into the world of TV hosting.
Moving to New Channels
In 1991, Roula Koromila joined a new TV channel called ANT1. There, she launched a morning show called "Proinos Kafes" (which means "Morning Coffee"). This show became very popular and had high ratings. She hosted "Proinos Kafes" until 1994. In 1992, she also started the first Greek television variety show, "Ciao Ant1". A variety show includes different kinds of entertainment, like singing and comedy sketches.
In 1994, Roula left ANT1 and moved to a competing channel, MEGA. At MEGA, she launched a big variety show called "Bravo" in 1994. This show was a huge success and continued until 2000. Many famous international guests appeared on "Bravo," including Madonna, Ricky Martin, and Eros Ramazzotti. The show also had special episodes for holidays like Christmas and Easter. These were sometimes filmed in cool places like Syros' City Hall or Lycabettus.
Helping Others with TV Marathons
During her time at MEGA, Roula Koromila also introduced the idea of television marathons in Greece. These were long TV events to raise money for good causes. One of the most famous marathons was in 1996. It was dedicated to helping children with brain paralysis. This marathon lasted for 30 hours straight and raised a lot of money, about 650 million drachmae (the old Greek currency). To honor her efforts, the Cerebral Palsy Greece rehabilitation center renamed one of its halls the "Roula Koromila Hall."
New Shows and Challenges
In 2001, Roula Koromila moved to Alpha. She hosted a morning show called "Enteka kai Kati," which was later renamed "Kalos Tous." This show helped establish Alpha as a strong channel for morning programs. She also hosted another show called "... Sti Roula," where she interviewed famous Greek guests like Haris Alexiou and Sakis Rouvas.
For the 2004–2005 TV season, Roula moved to Star Channel to host "Ole." She then returned to Alpha in 2006 for a show called "3 Euxes," later renamed "Zoi san Oneiro." In 2007, she was a mentor on a show called "TV Stars: Parousiaste Live." From 2007 to 2012, she worked as a program consultant for Alpha.
After dealing with some health issues, Roula Koromila made a big return to Greek TV on April 26, 2010. She hosted the show "Greek Idol." The first episode was very popular, with many people tuning in to watch her return. On October 3, 2010, she also hosted "Big Brother." In spring 2011, she hosted the second season of "Greek Idol." She ended her contract with Alpha in 2013.
Recent TV Appearances
On April 2, 2014, Roula Koromila returned to MEGA as a judge on "Just the 2 of Us." Then, on April 16, 2016, she brought back her famous "Bravo" show, calling it "Bravo Roula," on a new channel called "EPSILON." However, she ended her contract with EPSILON earlier than expected due to disagreements with the channel's management.
She has continued to appear on television, including hosting special New Year's Eve shows and the talk show "At home with MEGA" in 2021 and 2022-2023.
Personal Life
Roula Koromila has been married twice. Her first husband was the actor Panos Michalopoulos. They met in 1981, married in 1988, and divorced two years later. In 2000, she married basketball player Nasos Galakteros. They separated seven years later. She also had a six-year relationship with Italian actor Stefano Sartini.
