Roxas (Kingdom Hearts) facts for kids

Roxas (Japanese: ロクサス) is a character from the Kingdom Hearts video game series. He is a special type of being called a "Nobody." Roxas came to be after Sora, another main character, briefly lost his heart.

Roxas first appeared in the game Kingdom Hearts II. There, players learned he was part of a group called Organization XIII. This group needed Roxas because he could use a special weapon called the Keyblade. The Keyblade helps to collect "hearts," which are important in the game's story.

Roxas is the main character in the game Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. This game tells his full story and explains more about his past. In the English versions of the games, Roxas is voiced by the American singer Jesse McCartney. In the Japanese versions, his voice is provided by Kōki Uchiyama.

Who is Roxas?

Roxas is a unique character because he is a "Nobody." In the Kingdom Hearts world, a Nobody is created when a strong-hearted person loses their heart. Even though he's a Nobody, Roxas looks just like Sora. He also has his own feelings and personality.

Since he first appeared, many fans and video game critics have really liked Roxas. He is a popular character because of his interesting story and his strong personality. In February 2010, a poll in Japan's Famitsu magazine ranked Roxas as one of the most popular video game characters. He was ranked #28!
