Roxy Hunter and the Horrific Halloween

Plot Summary

Roxy Hunter (Aria Wallace) sees a new boy named Stefan (Connor Price) being picked on after school. Stefan is from Transylvania. He gets upset and throws his lunch, but it hits Roxy instead! This starts a big rivalry between them.

Roxy's mom, Susan (Robin Brûlé), tells her to try and make peace with Stefan. Meanwhile, Max (Demetrius Joyette) is sad because his parents can't pick him up from Moody Mansion. They are busy with a gold mining trip. Susan is also surprised when Jon (Yannick Bisson) wants to move in with her.

When Roxy visits Stefan's house, she sees an old woman stirring something red in a pot. Stefan's uncle, Vlad Petrescu (Juan Chioran), seems to sleep during the day and is sensitive to light. Roxy notices something red on Vlad's hand and starts to think Stefan's family might be vampires.

Roxy tests Stefan, but he passes. She then tells Seth and his friends about her suspicions. They investigate Vlad's barn and find strange paintings. Vlad catches them, and they try to scare him with garlic and holy water. But it doesn't work! Vlad explains that he is a painter, and the "blood" is just red paint. Roxy apologizes and gets grounded.

Later, Stefan tells Roxy that his family is poor. His father, an artist, hoped Vlad would sell his paintings in America. But Vlad was signing his own name on them to make money for himself.

Meanwhile, Max meets his friend Jill (Tara Shelley) and they play a prank that goes wrong. Max stays to face the consequences. The sheriff tells Max a story about a prank he pulled in high school that caused a fire. He explains that even when parents let you down, it doesn't mean they don't love you. He lets Max off the hook.

Roxy gets an idea from her mom: scare Vlad into confessing! They set up a haunted house. Vlad runs into the forest, terrified. Roxy pretends to be a vampire, and Vlad confesses his crimes. The sheriff, who was watching, takes Vlad to jail.

At dinner, Jon asks Susan to marry him, and she says yes! Max feels much better, and Stefan's parents can finally come to America with the money from the paintings.
