Rukiya Bernard (born January 20, 1983) is a talented Canadian actress, producer, and interior designer. She is well-known for her role as Doc in the TV show Van Helsing. You might also recognize her from movies like The Cabin in the Woods (2012) and The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008).
About Rukiya Bernard
Rukiya Bernard was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her mom, Nyakiringa Magugu, owned an African art store. Her dad, Gilbert Bernard, owned a car wash.
From a young age, Rukiya's parents encouraged her to try many different activities. She played basketball and ran track. She also studied classical ballet, karate, and piano. She later attended Ryerson University and studied theatre. She graduated with honors from the program.
Acting Roles
Rukiya's first acting job was in the movie Our America. She played the role of Sophie Newman. Since then, she has appeared in many popular TV shows. These include Van Helsing, Supernatural, and Eureka.
She has also been in several movies. Some of her film roles include The Cabin in the Woods, Stuck, and That Burning Feeling. Rukiya has worked on many different projects over the years.
