Important Events: Bushfire Safety
In November 2018, the area around Rules Beach faced a large bushfire. Because of the fire, people in Rules Beach and nearby towns like Baffle Creek and Deepwater were asked to leave their homes for safety. This was during a very hot period. The fire was quite big, covering a large area, and emergency services worked hard to keep everyone safe. This event showed how important it is to be prepared for natural events in coastal areas.
