Rumst is a municipality, which is like a town or local government area, located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. Since 1976, the municipality of Rumst has included not only Rumst itself but also the towns of Reet and Terhagen. Before that year, Reet and Terhagen were separate municipalities.
In 2021, Rumst had a total population of 15,146 people. The total area of the municipality is about 19.90 square kilometers (which is about 7.68 square miles).

What Was Rumst Known For?
Long ago, Rumst, much like its neighbor Boom, was famous for making things out of clay. This included products like bricks, which were used to build many houses and buildings. However, this industry mostly disappeared after the 1970s.
