Runyon Lake, also known as Fountain Lakes, is a cool spot in Pueblo, Colorado. This lake is about 35 acres big. That's like 26 football fields! It gets its water from the Arkansas River.
Long ago, Runyon Lake was a special pond. It was used by the Rocky Mountain Steel Mill for a process called dredging. This means they used machines to dig up mud and sand from the bottom.
Today, Runyon Lake is a popular place for fishing. The Colorado Parks and Wildlife agency makes sure there are plenty of fish by adding them to the lake.
